    Yesterday, I Kicked Butt!!

Okay, so yesterday I was scheduled to do HDS, which is a 45 minute intense sculpting video.  I completed that, THEN I went to the gym to do 35 minutes on the elliptical!!!  I felt like I needed to get some cardio in because I am upping my calories from the detox, and I don't want to gain too much weight.  I'm hoping to have a fantastic weigh in this week.  I probably won't be at 224, but 225 would be fantabulous, LOL!  We shall see!

Today, I have CO scheduled to do.  I get my hair done this afternoon, so I have to workout afterwards.  I'm getting my sew-in back, so hopefully my hair doesn't look a mess after the workout.  I'm hoping.  I think I'll take a picture for you all to see me in all my glory, LOL.

    Alrighty, have a fabulous day!

    Great Day Yesterday

Yesterday, I must admit, was a great day!!  I initially told my coworker that I would not do the two mile walk with her because I was going to leave early to go to the gym at my complex.  Well, I ended up staying the full time at work and walked with her.  Then I went to the gym and did 60 minutes on the elliptical and 15 minutes on the treadmill.  I burned a total of 715 calories!  So I'd say that yesterday was a great working out day for me.  Yesterday my back really started hurting while I was on the treadmill, but I pushed to finish the 15 minutes.  My back hasn't hurt me in a while, so it is time to go back to the chiro.  I decided that I would not be going back to the gym today, so this morning, I did a 3 mile power walk.  In about 10 minutes, I will be doing the 2 mile walk with my coworker.  That'll be a total of 5 miles for the day, so I think that will count for my workout.  When I get home, I might do another 2 miles, depending on how I feel.  If my back is hurting, I won't do anything.  Tomorrow, I want to get in more elliptical time (at least 30 minutes).  It will be my fourth day in a row of working out, so I won't be too disappointed if I can only for 30 minutes or so.  I may do the bike for the rest of the time since I have not done it in a while.  I sure hope the scale shows all my efforts!

For dinner, I had a FABULOUS chicken salad (baked drumsticks (2), feta cheese (1/4 cup), tomatoes, spring mix lettuce, and Paul Newman's light balsamic vinegarette dressing (4 tbsp).  Oh my goodness was it good.  I plan on having the same thing for dinner tonight!

I went on the WW website a couple of days ago, and am only now realizing that I can track my points online.  It does all the calculations for me!  It tells me the number of points I should have and will calculate meals for me.  I can even put in the ingredients for a recipe and it will calculate all the points per serving.  For the last few days I have been tracking everything on the website.  You can even track your activity points!  It will calculate those points as well.  I thought that was soooo cool.  I know that I need to journal, but I hate writing everything down.  This way, all my information can be stored online, and I can make sure everything is accurate.

Okay, gotta go get my coworker so we can walk.  Have a fabulous day!

    The Power of the Ipod

Okay, so I have had my Ipod since September 13, 2006 (no, that's not a typo, it's 2006), and yesterday was my first time using it.  That's pretty bad, huh?  Well it isn't that I didn't want to use it, it's that I didn't want to take the time to learn how to download music to it.  So yesterday I played around with it, and realized I had to transfer the music on my computer to the ITunes player.  I guess I could have saved a lot of time if I had just read the manual, LOL.  Eventually I figured it out, and I downloaded 37 songs under a playlist I titled "Workout."  Then I went into the gym to get on the elliptical.  It's amazing how when you have an Ipod, you tend to focus less on the time.  Don't get me wrong, I did glance down at the clock several times, but I wasn't nearly as concerned about it as I usually am when I listen to the sound of my elliptical and all the other machines and look at every perfection and imperfection in the mirror.  I found that when I listened to the Ipod I was actually going a bit faster (according to the beat of the music) than I usually do.  The music pumped me up to keep going and work harder.  So, I did my 65 minutes, but then I decided that I wanted to try to go backwards like others do.  I did an additional 13 minutes for a total of 78 minutes!!!  I burned 817 calories Surprised!!!  The Ipod really did make it a lot easier, and time seemed to go by faster.  I'll never go to the gym without it again!

Also, I weighed in today at my Biggest Loser competition at my job, and found that I weigh 236.4 pounds.  That is awesome considering I weighed 242 last time I weighed in at the competition AND after I ate this weekend.  So as far as this competition at my school is concerned, I've loss over 21 pounds since January 9th.  Not too shabby!  See, I have a strategy . . . many of the people in this competition have loss a lot early on, but they will eventully hit a plateau.  My plan is to "kick it up a notch" in these last couple of months.  I weighed in this guy this morning, and he has loss about 30 pounds!  He was telling me how he does it.  He said he hasn't eaten since Sunday (today is Wednesday).  WTF?!?!?  No wonder he is losing weight . . . he's starving himself.  What he doesn't realize is that he's going to put the weight right back on when her reaches his goal and starts back eating regularly.  If he never starts back eating healthily, he'll totally screw up his system.  I told him that I couldn't do it . . . I have to eat, LOL!!!!  I'm a gal who LOVES her food.  Not eating since Sunday???  That's ludicrous!!!  That's three damn days!  I'd have a headache out of this world!  I want to be thin, but thin the healthy way.  I don't want my body to shut down on me because it isn't getting the nutrients it needs.  He said the reason for him doing that (other than the cash prize) is because he wants to lose the weight RIGHT NOW.  Well, don't we all?  He didn't gain the weight in two months, now he is starving it off, so he won't keep it off.  One of the other ladies weighing in heard what he said and flat out told him that what he was doing wasn't healthy, yada yada yada.  I've learned that people like that will do what they want, no matter what you say.  I wasn't even going to waste my breath.  Then he went on to say that he was going through a divorce and was really depressed (he said all this once the lady "called him out").  I can understand people eating significantly less while being extra stressed, but he made a conscious choice not to eat anything for three days (sorry, he did say he had one donut Monday).  There's a difference between being depressed and starving yourself.  Even the most depressed person needs something of substance to eat in three days.  Sounds like he's trying to justify the fact that he's starving himself.  Wow, I just spent a lot of time talking about something that doesn't affect me, LOL, sorry.

I really hope for a 5 pound loss this week.  I have three more days . . . that might be doable.  I just have to make sure I maintain my workout schedule.  As I said, I'll workout everyday up until and through Friday.  On Saturday, I'll try a Firm workout.  Also, I'm going to concentrate on not screwing up with my eating this weekend.  Tonight, though, I am planning a wonderful dinner.  I'm going to have chicken salad.  I'm really excited about that.  I'm also going to get into the bed early tonight.  I stayed up until after 10 watching the Biggest Loser.  I was soooooooooo pissed that they did not tell us who was voted off for the week. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Baring teeth!!!  They want to make us wait until next week.  DID YOU SEE ALI?????  Oh my goodness she looks good.  That girl has been working her butt off!  All of the contestants look amazing.  DID YOU HEAR WHEN JILLIAN SNAPPED???  LOL, it was HILARIOUS!  I've never heard her cut-up like that.  The host girl looked like she was about to cry, LOL.  Okay, let me stop.

Anyway, have a fabulous day everyone!
