    This month I am not going to update my stats.  I totally blew it the last part of last month.  Even though it seems that I didn't do too bad at the last weigh in, it isn't accurate for what I weighed on April 1st or what I weigh today (April 7, 2008).  My measurements would be greatly inaccurate if I were to take them today.  If I took them this weekend, that would be mid month and make no sense for this month current month.  I also will not be taking any pictures this month.

    So, here are my starting statistics.  I compared them to my original starting statistics (January 2006), and they were a little better (I stress a little).  Now, I have some accountability.  Oh, I stood on the scale this morning and it said 256.4, so that is a promising start Wink.  Right before I began taking my measurements, the scale read 254.4!  Down Down Down!!  Remember, I'm a pro at losing (and gaining) weight, so I know that losing weight starts out really fast, then becomes more gradual.

     

    I also did very well with my eating so far today.  For breakfast, I had Kashi cereal with ff milk, and for lunch I had a FABULOUS spinach, turkey, ham, tomato, and ff cheese salad with balsamic vinigarette (the one calarie per spray spritzer).  It was absolutely wonderful.  My chiropractor told me that with my alpha thalessemia (low iron), I need to eat a salad (preferably spinach) everyday.  So, I took his advice and bought spinach and mixed baby green ready-to-eat packages.  Kinda weird that my chiropractor would be telling me this instead of my PCP, but it's good information wherever it comes from.  For dinner, I'll be having some left over spaghetti from last night.  I make my spaghetti from scratch, so I know exactly what's in it.  If there is one dish that I have perfected (aside from my KILLER macaroni and cheese) it would have to be my spaghetti.  I use tomato sauce and paste (Hunts), and also drained petite diced tomatos (Walmart brand Smile).  First, I brown my extra lean ground beef.  Then I take that off the heat and put all the tomato stuff into the saute pan with a little bit of water.  I add italian seasoning, season salt, pepper, and garlic powder.  After I season it to taste, I add the beef.  Before I do all this, I prepare my wheat spaghetti. Bon apetit!  It tastes great and is healthy.

     

    This week I am going to primarily focus on healthy eating.  I think it will be entirely too much for me to start off doing both healthy eating and exercise right now.  One step at a time.  I want to start back with the power walking this weekend or next week first, then incorporate the Firm back into my workouts soon after.  Also, I will not take measurements for October.  I think that will be too soon to see meaningful results.  The next measurements can be expected in November.  I'll also take my before pictures either today or tomorrow and post them as soon as possible.
